  1. Well put, and the fact that you’re willing to hear alternate viewpoints on this blog at all is certainly positive.

But I think you will have to clarify your “Any attempt to justify paedophilia or other exploitation of children or any attempt to rationalise these actions will be deleted”

I’m not trying to protect pedophiles, but rather explain why it is problematic.

What exactly qalifies trying to “justify pedophilia”? It’s a fact that pedophilia exists, and obviously they will want to make their side of the story heard. If you don’t want to see any posts supporting pedophiles on this blog, then you should say so.

As for child abuse, pro-childlove activists generally believe abuse and coercion of children for any agenda is bad, but that a consentual sexual relationship with a child is not necessarily abusive. They believe that most of the damage done to a child is actually caused by the social stigma surrounding the issue. Hence many disapprove of sexual relationships in the current state of affairs.

Children consensual? This belief is one of the problems here.

  7. Children are unable to have a ‘consenting’ sexual relationship with an adult. Consent is always coerced, by use of positive or negative reinforcement. ie the child learns that to get what they want, money, gifts, attention etc, they have to give the adult what they want, their innocence.

My point will become invalid the day we see children campaigning as hard as these paedophiles, to be able to have these ‘consenting’ sexual relationships with adults.

  9. Hellpig:
Actually, no, it hasn’t been stated anywhere on this blog or the comments, apart from this particular quote in the “Disclaimer” article that I asked to clarify.

I made the (apparently incorrect) assmuption that “inviting opinion and discussion” would also apply to opinions that conflicted with yours.
