Eight months ago, I mentioned to you that self admitted pedophile Lindsay Ashford was starting to gear up a little early for the ‘08 bid for the election. He’d already composed his list of White House hopefuls, and was looking over the qualifications to see just which hopeful he’d be most supportive of. The problem with this was that he was using the daughters, and granddaughters of his list of hopefuls, and his sexual attraction for each child as a measuring stick to determine who he’d be happiest to see win.

At that time, I also shared that because he was displaying actual photos of the children, and because of the context of his post, I had attempted to use it to draw attention to this online predator to our members of congress. I called office after office, explaining in detail the issue, and providing the url of the post.

Most were shocked to hear what I was telling, some didn’t even hesitate to load the page, just because it seemed so impossible that someone would actually do this. Security at Capital Hill was contacted.

Now, remember that not even a month later, the John Walsh Child Protection Act was signed into law. It was a big to-do. An entire high profile display of just how important the safety of our children is to Capital Hill. So, with that in mind- what do you think came of the knowledge so many people have of Lindsay Ashford? What do you think was done to protect the innocent children splashed across his website just because he’s a sick freak, and because their relatives are political leaders? Nothing.

You’ll be voting in ‘08, for a group of people who want you to believe that by signing their names to laws, by voting in support of them, they are interested in protecting your children… when in truth- they can’t even protect their own.

That day I called and complained about this sickening post by a pedophile- I also ran a post explaining to readers that ONE member of Congress had an employee that stated they weren’t concerned with this, that they had no comment, and no plans to do anything. His comments were in my first post (linked at the top) but removed, because I actually believed for a moment, that his response did nothing but encourage the pedophiles. However, it wasn’t long afterwards that I received this:

Senator ***** daughters are private citizens and our hope is that they will be treated as such, and I must admit it was more than a little disturbing to see them displayed in that fashion. My concern with commenting further on this matter is that a reaction from me would somehow encourage further discussion of the girls on that person’s website, which is the last thing anyone wants.

If there are any further updates on this, though, I would greatly appreciate it if you’d pass them along to me. Meanwhile, I can promise you that Senator ***** will continue to work in the U.S. Senate to strengthen laws that put child predators behind bars.

That Senator is running for President, and while I was assured that he was working to make laws stronger to protect our kids… I have to wonder why his children are still featured on a pedophile’s website, a site that is directly related to one intended to help pedophiles entrap young girls into illegal sexual relationships.

The most common allegation made against “antis” in paedophile circles is that we are bigots – most paeds would even go so far as to compare us to Nazis. Surely a group that is begging for acceptance and screaming bigot at everyone who disagrees with them, will be a model of acceptance and tolerance….right? Let’s see.

First consider what bigotry means – briefly it means intolerance of other people.

To understand tolerance according to paeds, today we’re going to consider some of the empathetic and tolerant things they say about individuals.

Yes, you read that title correctly, “Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 , pointless?” Really I should be phrasing that as a statement, but I decided to do it as a question, in order to allow you a chance to ponder it over and come to a conclusion yourself.

If you recall, I recently wrote about Kenneth Hopson, the father of two young girls who was convicted of having 130 images and movies, all child porn depicting sexual abuse of young girls. Some around the same age as his own daughters, some just toddlers. Gloucester Circuit Judge William H. Shaw III sentenced him to …. ONE year. Yep, just one. To make this story even more startling, Gloucester Circuit Judge William H. Shaw III is also handling the divorce in this case, which will most likely effect visitation with his children. I can only begin to fear the way that will turn out- as Shaw clearly doesn’t see the danger Hopson poses to children- including his own.

The reason I bring this case up, is because believe it or not we have introduced and accepted into law the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006, which in Federal cases requires a minimum sentence. But, what good does it do if the States do not back the law? If you have charges in a state case, then that Law means nothing. It doesn’t help ensure that these dangerous people are locked away, it does nothing. NOTHING.

Before you start to think that this case is a lone case, and that situations like this rarely happen, you might want to take a closer look.

An Avon man who had been found with scores of images of child pornography on his computer and videos of children being violently raped has avoided prison time.
Edward J. Burke III, 47, was given a suspended sentence last week after going into a courtroom expecting to spend up to four years behind bars.
Burke, 47, of Avon, was convicted in a plea deal of two counts of first-degree possession of child pornography.
Prosecutor John F. Fahey told Judge Thomas P. Miano that Burke had 141 photo images and two videotapes of known child victims on a home computer. The victims ranged in age from toddlers to prepubescent children.
Fahey and Burke’s defense lawyer, John D. Maxwell, had worked out a deal that called for Burke to receive up to four years in prison, five years’ probation, and mandatory sex offender registration for 10 years.
But the agreement gave Maxwell the right to argue for a completely suspended prison sentence, which was granted by Superior Court Judge Thomas J. Miano.

Different case, different judge, even worse outcome.

Burke will spend NO time in jail. Again, the courts deemed him a low risk and deemed the protection of children from this scum bag “just not worth it”. I’m amazed they even had the willingness to take it to trial, or even arrest him for that matter. What a complete waste of time, and how dare the rest of us sit here shocked that yet another sexual predator has been handed a lollipop and sent on his merry way.

And I pose the question, is the Adam Walsh Child Protection Act pointless? Seeing as how individual States have decided to reward child porn criminals rather than punish them? Can we rely on these laws to protect us when they only apply to Federal cases?
